An attractively illustrated pamphlet for shopping in Hong Kong. The ticket collector on the Peak Tram is amusing.
These illustration were done by the Czech artist Illustrator Miroslav Šašek. Born in Prague in 1918 Miroslav Šašek moved to Paris in 1947 where he studied at Ecole des Beaux Arts. He was to illustrate and write books from all around the world as he travelled to different countries. In the mid 1960s he visited Hong Kong and did illustrations for posters and pamphlets for the Hong Kong Tourist Association as well as publishing a book This is Hong Kong in 1965.
