World airline map for Air France drawn by the French artist Lucien Boucher. It was published in Paris and printed by Percival in 1947. By this date Air France had extended their routes to Tokyo and Batavia (Jakarta) in Asia, Johannesburg in Africa and Montevideo in South America.
An attractive decorative map of the world showing historical details such as native costumes, flora and fauna, mountain ranges, stylised architecture and ships. Also shown are the airline routes and major cities en route, on a two-tone brown ground with orange clouds within a gold star border.
